Yeah, so on Sunday it hit 100F (38C) here and then on Monday (yesterday), it hit 102F (39C). That’s the hottest day in June that we’ve EVER had. Ugh!

And yeah, yeah, I know, in Arizona, Texas, etc., temperatures like that are pretty common. But around here, that’s damn hot! I mean, during July and August, the average high is around 80F (27C) according to Wikipedia.

Thank goodness it’s “only” going to be 88F (31C) tomorrow, but that’s not much to look forward to as here at 2:30AM, it’s still 75F (24C). :(

As many of you may know, I hate today (April Fool’s Day) with a passion. It’s not because I don’t find it funny sometimes, it’s because I’m just too damn gullible and always forget what day today is. Then I start thinking it’s true and it takes me forever to realize.

With lots of help from this wonderful guide by Owen, I’ve submitted my very first bug fix to the WordPress Trac. I just thought I’d share this with you since I’m so proud of myself. :D

Holy crap, it snowed today! And over an inch’s worth!

Now of course that may sound like nothing, but consider that I’m about 220 feet above sea level (way low) and not very far north of the 45th parallel (i.e. I’m not in Canada or something like that). Also consider that the last time we had snow that stuck was many, many years ago. Then you’ll realize how rare this is. :D

I got tired of my old theme and I found one that I really liked, so I switched to it last night. Here’s the result:

A word to the wise — breaking up a good-sized patio with a jack-hammer and throwing the heavy chunks into a truck and trailer is not fun work. From last Thursday through last Saturday, I hurled literally around 10 tons (20,000 lbs or around 9000 kg) into my uncle’s truck and trailer. We were breaking up his patio so that construction on expansion to his house could get underway.

Surprising though, I barely got sore at all. More tired than anything. I think that was due to him doing all of the jack-hammering (damn thing is really heavy and vibrates a lot obviously) and me just doing a lot of lifting.

Anyway, I made like $60 outta it (yeah, I shoulda done it for free as he’s my uncle, but I have school bills to pay!) and got to hang out with my pretty cool uncle, so it was worth it. :)

I just had one of these for the first time a few weeks back and oh man are they good! The “Hard Berry” (blackberry) ones are especially tasty.

If you haven’t had one before and they’re available in your area, I definetly say you should go out and buy a 6-pack. They’re about as expensive as beer and about the same amount of alcohol (5.2% by volume).
