h1YouTube.com (aka Google) Rick Rolls The World

Posted on Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 at 12:05 AM (1 month, 2 weeks ago)

This is probably the most funny April Fools day jokes I’ve ever seen.

Go visit YouTube and click on any of the “Featured Videos”. It’ll take to to a video of Rick Astley’s music video for Never Gonna Give You Up, a hilarious practice called Rickrolling.

Oh, and by the way, check out this sweet video.

Did you know that the International Organization for Standardization actually has a standard for how to brew tea? How weird and silly.

h1Yes, FinalGear.com Is Down

Yes, my other site, FinalGear.com is down. The box it’s on is having issues (the cron task keeps crashing when the box is booted up). It’s being worked on, but no ETA for how long until it’s up is known.

However, while it’s down, you can still get to out IRC channel via this link.

Edit: Site’s all back up as of around 6 PM on the 15th. Enjoy! :)

Anyone else think this whole ordeal is one big joke? I mean, what next, saying the world is flat? I cannot believe the ignorance of some people.

What do you think about this court case?

Woo, go Beavs! :D

Over the weekend, I went down to Corvallis to watch OSU play PSU in the newly renovated Reser Stadium. This was the first game played with the new East addition being completed.

On game day, that was completely full as was the other side that the above camera is mounted on. In total, there were over 42,000 people there. Every seat was sold out. It was a heck of a lot of people in orange. Some pictures from game day soon perhaps. :)

To be frank, this whole ordeal is a world away from me (doesn’t affect me in my day to day life) and I kinda feel the same about it as I did 9/11 — that it just seems like a movie or whatever.

Anyway, the point of this post is I thought I’d share some interesting links. The first is a blog run by a system admin. It used to be his personal and such blog, but now it’s turned into a blog about the whole ordeal. He’s in downtown New Orleans with a diesel generator powering his building, webcam, etc. You can find it here: http://mgno.com/ (see also: http://www.nola-intel.org/)

The other interesting link is an audio stream of a scanner down there. Interesting to hear all of the military and such talk. For a list of repeaters, go here: http://wiki.nola-intel.org/index.php/Radio_Info

And on a closing note, seriously, WHAT THE FUCK at the people who are shooting at the police, hospital employees, etc. It’s not their fault you didn’t get your dumb ass out of the city 5 days ago when the evacuation order was given. They are just trying to do their job and save people. New Orleans has turning into a warzone, I swear.

Oh, and Foamy owns you.
