Ooo, hey there! :)

Yeah, I just wasn’t satified with that flavor of andreas09 (both in style and coding) and prefered to go my own route with it. I have a really crappy eye when it comes to web design (my thing is coding), so it may not turn out the best, but we’ll have to see. ;)

I also wasn’t particulary planning on releasing it to the public as while WP-andreas09 and andreas09 in general are most likely widely used, I’m not sure if I want to see my site looking exactly like another one. But again, we’ll have to see. ;)

Hey there! You do know that Andreas09 has been ported into a very successful theme for WordPress already, right? There is nothing wrong with doing a new version of it (especially not when it looks as beautiful as your version - love the style switcher!), but I have to ask so you know what it will be compared to if you release it to the public. I like your current theme too! I actually tried installing it onto my new wordpress blog but im not sure how to configure it properly and cant really be bothered at this stage sussing out all the code! lol

Most likely not. Even though it’s based on a popular template, it is slightly unique, so I’d like to keep it that way (unique and not on every site).

However, someone has publicly posted the andreas09 template to WordPress. I was tempted to use it, but I decided to start from scratch as I’m a coder (I prefer to code things myself) and because I didn’t want it exactly how they had it. It’s called WP-Andreas09 if you’d like to download it.

I really like the new theme. It is very clean and organized. BTW, you’ve got a pretty amazing blog here. I was looking at your plugin list and found several that I hadn’t heard of before. So are you going to release your theme when you are finished?

Nah, change is good, Viper! I say change it. I overhauled my theme recently too. Never looked back. Myself, I get bored with the aesthetics after a while and have to keep tweaking little things until I finally give up and just change the whole bloody theme.

Btw, how come your links prepend your base address. Like such:

Your new theme is really good… The header image if it is slightly big then it would look much better… By the way I like your present theme more than than your new one… this is my personal opinion…. :smile:
